I have been using Turbo-tax but I was wondering if there is a less expensive and reliable tax filing website service besides Turbo-tax that is recommended.

check out the IRS website, there is quite a few that if you qualify, you can file for free. most require you make under 57,000 gross to qualify though, some have a few other qualifiers.

In the past, I had used TaxCut purchased from the dollar store. It is now ‘H & R Block at Home’ and not at the dollar store. I use Taxslayer.com. You can prepare your return online and electronically file the federal for $9.95. You can add your state return for $4.95. The site is secure and fairly user friendly.
